Are you a registered, women-led CBO/Self-Help Group looking for funding for projects around WASH and Climate Adaptation? Look no further!
Neighbours Initiatives Alliance in partnership with SIMAVI under the Water Justice Fund are looking to fund projects aimed at improving access to water, sanitation and hygiene and supporting climate change adaptation in Kajiado County [Kajiado East, Kajiado West and Kajiado Central Sub-Counties].
Fundable projects are those that will;
- Improve women and girls human rights to water and sanitation.
- Facilitate climate resilience; women/girls have the ability to anticipate, withstand, adjust and adapt to climate change impacts and be resilient to climate shocks.
- Create more durable women’s organizations; organizing and strengthening women’s and girls’ groups; organizing and networking of women’s groups on leadership, decision making and engagement with others in the system of local change.
- Ensure women and girls have access to flexible financing and other support that suits their needs, and those support systems that prioritize climate resilience actions.
- Ensure women and girls have a stronger understanding of their human rights to water and sanitation, their contributions to the fight against climate change and depict evidence based locally led adaptations to climate change.
- Ensure that women are amplifying their voices both locally and at the national level in decision making development processes to ensure they are consulted and co-create the interventions that address their HRWS needs.
NOTE: We are funding a combination of innovative Water, Sanitation and Hygiene and Climate Justice Projects.
Purchase of water tanks will be fundable if they act as a booster to the identified initiative.
For any clarification, please reach out using the below emails. We will be conducting a briefing meeting regarding the project on: 16th September 2024 at NIA offices for interested applicants, at 10.00 am.
